A message from Kelly, Studio Owner and Primary Teacher:
I am a certified yoga and meditation teacher, college professor, wellness educator, with a Ph.D. in Health Education and Promotion, and author of the Daily Reflection and Wellness Journal. I have a passion for living well and inspiring others to embrace life and ignite their inner light. Yoga has helped me balance the demands of a fantastically full life. It provides me with the space to come back to my breath and connect with what is really important to me. I believe wholeheartedly in living the practice! I completed my first yoga teacher training in 2010 and have since participated in hundreds of hours of training through conferences, workshops and weekend intensives. I love to teach flowing vinyasa classes, playful partner classes, and slow and stretchy gentle classes. I’ve been fortunate to lead students in day, weekend and week long retreats locally and abroad. I’m grateful to this practice and the community we’ve created at Bright Yoga. You can find me on Instragram @wayofbrightness and check out my wellness work at livebrightconsulting.com A message from Robyn:
I am a certified yoga teacher who bubbles with energy and sees the bright side of most everything. From growing up in small town Saskatchewan, I have a strong sense of community and create space for others to embrace their authentic selves. The power of connection is incredibly important to me. Yoga has taught me to approach my high paced professional life with equanimity and confidence. It has challenged me to reflect on my purpose and lead with gratitude. I am heart forward (always) and students see that principle laced through my classes. Thank you to Live Bright Yoga for allowing me to be part of your team! |
A message from Tricia:
I started practicing yoga over 13 years ago with one of my closest friends. Our children were still infants at the time and we used yoga as an excuse to break free from the house and enjoy a little time for ourselves. I never imagined at the time how much I would enjoy it, stick with it, benefit from it and come to need it in my life! Like most of us, my life is very busy and monopolized by working several jobs and running from one sporting event to another (which I love btw) so I always felt I needed yoga more than I could teach it. After a many years practicing at Bright, another dear friend suggested I tackle the teaching aspect to further enhance my practice, learn even more about yoga and ultimately be able to help people of all ages introduce yoga into their lives. I am thrilled and excited to be a Certified Yoga Teacher and am so fortunate to be part of the Live Bright Yoga family...thank you Kelly for your guidance, friendship and this opportunity 🙏 A message from Derek:
I have been practicing yoga since 2019 and completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training in April 2024. Yoga has been a gift to my life, and I’m grateful for the countless local teachers who have shared their passion and knowledge with me. Yoga, so far, has taught me: that when we bring attention to our thoughts and feelings and life, we discover within ourselves a kind of enduring happiness. My class sequences promote strength and flexibility in the body, and my hope is that each student leaves class a bit sweaty with a greater sense of inner peace and well-being. |
